Patellar Instability, Patellar Dislocation, Patellar Subluxation and Patellar Tendonitis: A Closer Look

The knee cap (patella) is the bone in front of the knee.  It is not uncommon for instability to occur at the patella and in some instances a patellar dislocation can occur.  Treatments for this problem typically include strengthening the thigh muscles to prevent re-occurance.

Patellar tendonitis (rodilla del saltador) is inflammation at the patellar tendon.  It typically occurs from overuse.
