Where did you go to school?
College- University of North Alabama and also Auburn University
What extracurricular activities did you participate in high school or college?
I played tennis in college. I also like to hunt and fish.
Who inspired you to go into Orthopedics?
Initially my degree was in Chemistry. I worked as a chemist in a lab. When I was in med student I did a rotation with Dr. Saint-Jacques who was an Ortho surgeon in Kentucky. He convinced me that Ortho was the sub specialty for me.
What inspired you to go into Orthopedics?
I really liked fixing things, Growing up I like working on old cars. With Orthopedics it is similar to fixing things- I enjoy helping people get better and see good results.
As a child, did you want to be a doctor?
Yes, this was something I had wanted and desired growing up.

What do you like most like about your job?
Seeing patients who have pain and difficulty when they come in, helping them get better. When they can’t walk or have issues with mobility and I can help them through that process, it is a great feeling!
What is most challenging about your job?
The requirements or regulations sometimes restricting the process.
What is a common misconception about your field of work?
That all doctors play golf.
What do you like about living in the Kansas City Area?
The small town feeling.
