Kansas City Bone & Joint Clinic has offered x-rays in our Clinic since 1975 and in 2007 we were pleased to add Digital X-ray. In addition, to ensure quality films and highest patient safety, all of our Radiology Technologists are licensed with the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
What is Digital x-ray?
Just like everything else, technology has improved the quality and ease of obtaining x-ray images. Gone are the days of dark rooms, chemicals and waiting for films to develop. Now we are instantly able to view the images and obtain them electronically from many locations. One of the biggest advantages to Digital X-ray is that it reduces your radiation exposure, while improving the quality of your radiographic images.
Now, if you need to take your Images to another provider or need a copy for some reason, we can quickly copy the digital images to a CD for you to take. Previously, films had to be checked out and returned.
