I am a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement, including primary and complex revision joint reconstruction. After completing my orthopedic surgery residency in Kansas City, I pursued advanced fellowship training at Orthopaedics Northeast, where I gained extensive experience in modern hip and knee arthroplasty and complex reconstructive surgery.

My path to orthopedic surgery began long before medical school. Growing up in rural Kansas, I spent much of my time around farming, construction, and athletics. Those experiences taught me the value of hard work, accountability, and finding practical solutions to difficult problems. They also sparked my interest in orthopedics, where restoring function often requires a thoughtful and mechanical approach to solving a patient's problem.

My connection to the Kansas City community runs deep. I completed my undergraduate education at Avila University, attended medical school at Kansas City University, and completed my orthopedic surgery residency here as well. Kansas City has played an important role in shaping both my personal and professional life, and I am proud to serve the community that helped train me into the physician I am today.

My practice focuses on anterior total hip arthroplasty, muscle-sparing surgical techniques, revision hip and knee replacement, subvastus total knee arthroplasty, and personalized alignment strategies. I also utilize advanced technology and evidence-based techniques to help optimize outcomes and support a quicker return to everyday activities.

My philosophy of care is simple: every patient deserves individualized, patient-centered treatment. Whether we are pursuing conservative management or discussing surgery, my goal is to understand what matters most to you and develop a treatment plan that aligns with your lifestyle and goals. Joint replacement is not simply about relieving pain - it is about helping people regain independence, return to the activities they enjoy, and improve their quality of life.

The most rewarding part of my profession is seeing patients return to the things they love - whether that means playing with grandchildren, staying active, returning to work, or simply moving through daily life with less pain. I believe in building lasting relationships with my patients and treating every person with the same honesty, compassion, and respect that I would want for my own family members.
