While I still enjoy performing general orthopedic procedures such as total knee replacements, carpal tunnel release, and trauma. My passion is foot and ankle surgery, in particular, the treatment of complex foot and ankle reconstruction including total ankle replacements, flat foot and cavovarus deformities, as well as tendon and ligament reconstructions. As a former collegiate tennis player, I have a passion for sports injuries related to the foot and ankle.
Prior to joining Kansas City Bone and Joint, I practiced north of the river at North Kansas City Hospital and St. Luke’s North – Barry Road. My undergraduate studies were performed at Auburn University and University of North Alabama. I graduated from Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky, and completed my Orthopedic Residency in Kansas City at St. Mary’s Medical Center. After residency, I was selected and completed an orthopedic foot and ankle fellowship under Gregory Pomeroy, MD at New England Foot and Ankle Specialists.
In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, mountain biking, golf, hunting and fishing. I am an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, and American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.
