This procedure may be approached arthroscopically or with an open incision. In a shoulder arthroscopy, your doctor makes small incisions around your shoulder. He or she then inserts a small camera and miniature instruments through the incisions. This allows your doctor to assess the structures in the shoulder.
If your orthopedic surgeon has determined that you would benefit from shoulder surgery it is important to be aware of pre-operative and post-operative instructions. Please speak with your surgeon’s nurse regarding specific instructions for before and after surgery.
