Dr. Patel earned his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Houston and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed his internship and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Patel was a full time faculty member in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Kansas School of Medicine, from September 1992 through October 2001. He left as an associate professor to join Kansas City Bone and Joint Clinic in November 2001. He is Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Patel's special interests include musculoskeletal medicine, geriatrics, electrodiagnostic medicine and general rehabilitation medicine. Dr. Patel enjoys tennis, running, golf, and spending time with his family.
